To make school libraries a priority in our communities, local decision makers – from school administrators to elected leaders to parents and taxpayers – need to hear why school libraries matter. School librarians are positioned to be that voice, and media can amplify your message.

Our January Gathering will focus on spotlighting your school library stories and services by crafting a compelling op-ed that grabs the attention of local decision-makers. Participants will leave with a formula for drafting your first opinion essay and a strategy for pitching it effectively.
