About
The Peter Lyman Memorial/SAGE Scholarship in New Media will support a student in an 澳门六合彩开奖现场直播 accredited master鈥檚 program in Library and Information Studies pursing a specialty in new media. New media is defined as digital technology鈥檚 transformation of business and culture during the past 25-plus years, clarifying the evolution of digital communications and human-computer interaction.
In addition, the scholarship recipient must have demonstrated academic excellence, leadership and evidence of a commitment to a career in librarianship.
The scholarship was created in memory of Peter Lyman, former university librarian and professor emeritus of the School of Information at the University of California, Berkeley. Professor Lyman was nationally known for his landmark study on information overload entitled, 鈥淗ow Much Information?鈥 co-authored with Hal Valerian.
